Strength in Numbers:Hate Group Calls for ConsolidationMatt Hale, leader of the racist World Church of the Creator [WCOTC], wants his adherents to move closer to the group's headquarters in Illinois. This message for WCOTC racists to relocate to Illinois may not sound alarming to Montanans. However, Hale's call for consolidating his racist forces could spell trouble for Montanans, if Hale is granted a license to practice law here. Hale outlined his plan in the September issue of WCOTC's The Struggle. Hale believes that, before WCOTC can take over the world, it "must first win its own backyard." He lamented that the group was having low turnout for public events. Since WCOTC's activists are scattered, Hale wrote, "our Church is strong as an organization nowhere." He asked Creators to relocate, so that WCOTC would be a "true revolutionary organization" and can impress people with its numbers. He promised consolidation would save the white race from "cultural, biological, and genetic annihilation." With numbers, Hale said WCOTC could not be called a fringe group. WCOTC gained national attention in the summer of 1999 when one of its activists, Benjamin Smith, went on a shooting spree in the Chicago area. Targeting people of color and Jews, Smith killed two people and wounded eight others. Hale has continued to make headlines for the organization in his fight for a law license. After being denied in Illinois by both the Illinois Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court, Hale applied to the Montana Bar Association. A sub-committee of the Montana Bar rejected Hale's application in June 2001. Hale has appealed that decision to the Montana Bar's Committee on Character and Fitness. In his call for a mass consolidation, Hale wrote he was committed to getting a license to practice law in Illinois. He has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the Illinois Supreme Court and the Illinois Bar Association for denying him a license. He seemed to leave the door open that he might relocate if he received a law license in another state, but he will wait until the litigation in Illinois is done. He said that he believes any delay in starting the consolidation would only "continue to stymie our great Cause." Hale promised his followers that, if they followed his directions, WCOTC "can and indeed will win the Victory" it has been seeking. Victory in WCOTC's vision leads to RAHOWA, a racial holy war, which cleanses the planet on non-Whites.
