ACE Plays Trump Card

Leaders in All Citizens Equal (ACE) have filed a libel suit against the Montana Human Rights Network for its coverage of the group in its report on the anti-Indian movement Drumming Up Resentment. Program director Ken Toole, primary author of the report, was named individually in the complaint. Roland Morris, former ACE chairman, and Lisa Morris, former ACE secretary, allege they have suffered "severe emotional distress" because of the report. They allege the portrayal of them as leaders in the anti-Indian movement and the characterization of that movement as racist subjected them to, "ridicule, shame, embarrassment, mental suffering and mental anguish."

The report is available from the MHRN office for $7.00.
