Fair Workplaces for All

PRIDE! Inc., with support from the Montana Human Rights Network, has launched the Montana Fair Workplace Project, dedicated to ending discrimination in employment based on sexual orientation through direct employer action. Because people who work in a safe and fair environment are much more likely to be efficient and productive, more and more employers are voluntarily including sexual orientation in their non-discrimination policies.

The Montana Fair Workplace Project was created to take advantage of this trend. The Project will identify Montana employers who currently include sexual orientation in their non-discrimination policies, and then will target the employers who do not. Those employers will be given information about why they should provide all employees with an environment free from fear of discrimination. The Project can also provide assistance in rewriting policies to include sexual orientation, and will provide training for employees and other interested persons.

If you would like a packet of information, or if you are interested in organizing a group in your community, contact the Project at 406-442-9322.
